School projects help students to learn through hands-on experiences. Students learn best when the project is interesting and similar to what happens in their lives. We feel that schools do not do this as much, and for this reason the idea of this project eventually came to be.

The main outcome of this term project was the design and construction of a model eco-friendly houses which related to Global Citizenship subject, as well as Math.

Within the subject of Math, the project covered areas relating to circles, semicircles and quadrants, surface areas and volumes of solids, areas of similar shapes, volumes of similar shape, and financial arithmetic. This project aimed to familiarize the students with the design of precise and accurate scale plans of three dimensional objects by using their abilities with spatial relations. students with the design of precise and accurate scale plans of three dimensional objects by using their abilities with spatial relations.

They drew a scale plan, estimated the cost in relation to accounting, constructed the building, and compared their plan to reality. This process will increased student awareness about some of the elements required in construction. They also gave presentations of the house that will be videotaped in order to sharpen their language and presentation skills.

Before constructing a house a scale plan was needed, some changed their house plan along the way, the students also motivated to estimate the cost, by finding the data of material pricelist and doing the mathematics operation related on surface areas and volumes of solids, areas of similar shapes, volumes of similar shape, and financial arithmetic.
